Dear Parents and Guardians,

At Benton Harbor Area Schools (BHAS), we are committed to providing a safe and supportive learning environment for all of our students. We reaffirm that commitment by keeping you informed about events that impact the safety and well-being of our school community.

We are writing to inform you about an accident involving one of our school buses that occurred today, January 15, 2025. We are relieved to share that there were no serious injuries. At the time of the accident, only one student remained on the bus, and they have been safely reunited with their parent(s) unharmed.

The safety of our students is always our top priority. The incident is currently under investigation, and we are working closely with law enforcement and transportation officials for more information. We understand that this news may cause concern, and we are committed to keeping you updated throughout this process.
